Monkey Teases Tigers

If you need a laugh and some amusement,
you gotta see this funny video. One of Matt Murphy's favorites.

Opelika, AL woman dying, wants homes for 32 Cats

Al.com picked up an Associated Press report that an Opelika, Alabama woman dying of cancer and her last request was to find homes for her 32 cats.

Evidentally, she had boxes for each cat with the request in all capital letters, "PLEASE DO NOT KILL" as well as, "each cat's name, description, age and medical summary."

The unusual thing was she left a handwritten note, signed by "Miss R".

A Wasted Vote by Chuck Baldwin

Article from http://www.wingswatchman.org/ Website

When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, "He cannot win." Or, "I don't want to waste my vote." It is true: America has not elected a third party candidate since 1860. Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don't think so.
In the first place, a wasted vote is a vote for someone you know does not represent your own beliefs and principles. A wasted vote is a vote for someone you know will not lead the country in the way it should go. A wasted vote is a vote for the "lesser of two evils." Or, in the case of John McCain and Barack Obama, what we have is a choice between the "evil of two lessers."

Trick-or-Treat...smell my feet...give me...

. . . Something Good To Eat?
It's that time of year and Congress has pulled out a good one in her ol' bag of tricks with the passage of the 'Bailout' Bill. It's just in time for Halloween to or should I say just in time for the presidential election.

The bureacrats in Washington yelled, "crisis, Crisis, CRISIS" all week long but the American people were not convinced that there truly was one. The cry of the wolf every four years from our elected leaders are to help cover a multitude of sins but to what purpose? This only serves their purpose. It's unfortunate that it happens right up next to election time, while they have our utmost attention. We watch at a distance the push and pull of the 'pork taffy' until they get it just right and then, BAM! They pull the trigger and it's taffy-Washington style not constituent minded.

In Alabama, our congressional representatives did their share of the pull. They voted the same way the second time as they did the first time on the Bailout Bill. In district 6, Jefferson/Shelby County area representative Spencer Bachus helped lead the charge in getting the bill passed. It was also reported on various radio stations in Birmingham, Alabama that he indicated his decision would not be popular in the district. Well DAAAAAAAA! Why'd he do it then? Our own Senators, Richard Shelby and Jeff Sessions voted NO! It is the single most expensive and expansive grab for socialism yet. The Democrat leadership immediately announced after the vote that this was only the beginning and other items such as universal healthcare coverage would be on the future menu.

Here are just a few of the 'special' ingredients in Washington's 'pork taffy' found in the latest Bailout Bill:

Sec. 211. Transportation fringe benefit to bicycle commuters

Sec. 308. Increase in limit on cover over of rum excise tax to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Sec. 309. Extension of economic development credit for American Samoa.

Sec. 312. Deduction allowable with respect to income attributable to domestic production activities in Puerto Rico.

Sec. 317. Seven-year cost recovery period for a motorsports racing track facility.

Sec. 322. Tax incentives for investment in the District of Columbia.

Sec. 325. Extension and modification of duty suspension on wool products; wool research fund;wool duty refunds.

Is there any wonder why our elected representatives have such a low approval rating with the American people? hummm? Stayed tuned though Bailout Bill Take Two will be coming soon to a congressman or senator near you!

Voter Fraud Already? Video you gotta watch.

This one is too good to not mention. Watch the video in Michelle Malkins Blog and see how in some states people can register immediately before they vote.

Who says these people couldn't vote at five different locations in one day? They are homeless.
