Alabama's Former Governor Don Siegelman will be leaving prision after a short time in prison.
Both he and Richard Scrushy, former HealthSouth CEO, were convicted in 2006 on the same day of federal bribery, conspiracy and fraud charges.
"Prosecutors alleged Scrushy bought a seat on a state board with a $500,000 donation to Siegelman's lottery campaign.
Siegelman, 62, also was convicted on a separate obstruction of justice charge that he tried to hide $9,200 he received from a lobbyist by claiming the money was an aide's down payment for his motorcycle." Read the complete article: Birmingham News
