Hillary NOT proud to be a wife? Why?

At the DNC(Democratic National Convention) last Tuesday evening. Presidential/Vice Presidential possibility Hillary Clinton said, "I'm here tonight as a proud mother, a proud democrat, as a proud senator from New York, a proud American, and a proud supporter of Barack Obama." Poor Bill! Isn't his damsel in distress proud of him too? After all, he's the one who got her this far and she has stood by her him throughout all this fumblings in his political career.

Democrat Presidential HOPEful Barack OBama announced his vice presidential nominee, Joe Biden at 3:00 am. Why 3:00 am? Hillary had made a comment some time ago questioning the legitimacy of OBama, if president, being ready to successfully deal with a 3:oo am call about some dire national crisis? Could she have been alluding to his preparedness to handle war? The timing of his VP announcement was a stab at her and her comment about his ability.

Looking back at Hillary's recent 2008 run for the White House, I will miss guessing what color outfits she will come up with next. Her yellow one was one of my favorites which got plenty of bumble bee comments from the media. The latest one that will live in my mind forever will the the orange one. I call that one her, Halloween Surprise which was well coordinated with Chelsea's basic black. Hillary's bright orange pant suit, reminds me of the Charlie Brown story about the "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". Somewhere I read that Hollywood claimed that orange was the new power color. I guess they were wrong. Maybe this was her debutt as a children's book author with her daughter. After all, other than being Senator, she will have lots of free time on her hands. If the writing thing doesn't work out, she could be cast for a part in the movie remake, "The Wizard of Oz". Possible casting parts include: Dororthy, Toto and the Wicked Witch of the West. I liked the part where evil was conquered and the witch said, "Help me, I'm melting." You decide which part suits her best?

Maybe Bill has been picking out all those colorful suits.

Illegals leaving U.S. and heading home to Mexico

Finally, someone is calling these people by their earned title, "ILLEGALS" (Illegal immigrants which means, according to Wikipedia-"illegal immigration refers to immigration across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country." Let me put it simply - law breakers. Yes, they are coming here for a better life. The U.S. economy has recently fallen on some economically tough times with gas and food prices jumping to record high levels but it has forced them to return "HOME" for better opportunities. I thought I would never hear those words! It's ashame that our goofy economy had to take a dip in order to force these to return home. Unfortunately, it wasn't our elected representatives recognizing this out of necessity and lawfulness.

What Joe Biden says about Barack Obama

I'm guessing that Joe Biden at the time of this debate had no idea these words would come back to haunt him and Obama. If it did matter, Biden wouldn't be Obama's pick. With Obama, it's like when we were kids in school and throwing wet toilet tissue on the ceiling of the bathroom - it's whatever sticks to the ceiling, gets to stay.

And let's not forget Michelle Obama's words "For the first time in my adult life time I am proud of my country" comment. Words mean things but apparently the country doesn't to her. Maybe her husband running for office is in the wrong country, maybe China would do for both of them.

Why Mike Huckabee will not be the VP Pick.

Murphy Monkey picks VPs for Presidential Contenders
The pass is long, our guy is running....running and................... he catches it! Wait this is not a football game but the 2008 Presidential Race which includes picking someone for a Vice President. Both the Democrat and Republican Parties will be choosing who they think would help get them elected this year. The person who would essentially bring much favor, and votes for them this Fall. It is anyone's guess who these will be but it is interesting reading the blogs, watching the T.V. talking heads and hearing the talk radio chat boxes weighing in on this occurance.
The little Murphy Monkey will go ahead and put his two-cents worth of opinion in on who he believes the possible VP's will be.

On the Democrat side for Barack Obama, the Murphy Monkey chooses for Vice Presidential pick, Hillary Clinton. The reasons are because she has already been in the White House with her President husband, Bill. She is a woman and it is a 'woman's turn' to hold this high office(which is what I hear all the time). She is a Senator and she was Barack's Democrat contender for the same position recently. The clincher that does it with adding Hillary to the mix is that she is the only one who can deliver the votes OBama needs to close the deal and obtain the victory.
On the opposite side of the isle, the Republican Vice Presidential pick for John McCain will not be Mike Huckabee.Blogs indicate that Huckabee is one of the top choices that will solidify the conservative base which is key to carrying the McCain Team to the inauguration but I don't believe that is enough. My choice for Vice President is J.C. Watts. Why J.C. Watts? He is experienced. He has been a Congressman, a professional football player and a pastor. More importantly, he is a conservative, a pro-lifer and is black. If J.C. Watts is chosen as VP, it will be a surprise and few will see it coming but it makes sense. Unlike Hillary, who there really is no one else for the Democrat Candidate to choose, Watts will be the perfect fit for today's GOP Presidential Candidate, here and now.
What others are saying about J.C.Watts as VP.

Alabama Bigfoot Found in Georgia...Could it be the mother lode of finds!

In 2001, Wayne Ford, wrote an article in the Athens Dailey News/Athens Banner- Herald suggesting that the film footage of a bigfoot in Northern Californa in 1967 was the "gold nugget of Bigfoot lore". If that is true, then the mother lode of bigfoot lore has been found in 2008 in North Georgia.

Several reports indicate the discovery of a deceased ape/human-like body. Read article and see photos in the Atlanta Constitution Journal.

Will there be others fleeing our state coinciding with the announcement from Forbes Magazine that Nick Saban is the "Sports' most powerful Coach". Maybe the human side of the creature can read and inadvertently got his hands on the article. Suppose he fled in terror only to take refuge in the mountains of north Georgia? Whatever the reason, it could be discovered that he has Alabama roots! Next thing you know we will be seeing UFO's hovering over our cities, with aliens claiming they are God and pulling along Go BAMA or OBAMA 4 President banners!

Check out the website, "Searching for Bigfoot" for more information regarding the huge press conference scheduled to reveal evidence on the bigfoot's DNA and photos. News conference will be from 2:00 to 3:00pm CST, Friday, Aug. 15, 2008.
Finally, we can look to the Alabama coach's power in like to the bigfoot issue by entertaining the idea that the Bama victory will flee to our neighbors to the east on Sept. 27 when the Crimson Tide goes to Athens to play Georgia that day.

Alabama School Children- Seat Belts

Why are Alabamians having to decide if school children actually need seat belts on buses to keep them safe? Isn't that a given or is it really a matter of funds? Alabama is a state that has far more takers in the governmental money pot than let's say our neighbors to the east and southeast. They have large economies of working Americans that pay plenty of taxes. In Alabama we have more retired and governmental needy people living in the state. Currently, Governor Bob Riley says, "We need to prove once and for all whether or not this is the right thing to do." He is referring to a study that will take three years to determine whether it is "the right thing." Could this be the big issue for our next gubernatorial race in Alabama in 2012?

Who in the past decided not to include seat belts for Alabama's children anyway? Read the full article: "No rush to put seat belts on buses" in the Huntsville Times.
